Thanks for your thoughtful comments, Ted. As you know, I agree that the current condition is not good enought. But I think that incremental change is a very effective tool in this case. Incremental chage will allow us to accomplish things that we couldn’t otherwise accomplish.

Stay tuned for some nice tweaks on Division.

I read the Crystal Ball with great interest… especially the part about fees going to the lowest common denominator. I believe we’re in a paradigm shift the likes of which we haven’t seen since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution. The 200 years since have been the Era of the Company, and ruled by these three virtues: Quality, Speed, and Economy (or Better-Faster-Cheaper.) But today, if all we have is some combination of Better-Faster-Cheaper, we’re unlikely to survive. The Age of the Idea, which is now dawning, has three very different virtues: Patience, Generosity, and Connectedness. I’ve been blogging about these ideas for awhile at usefulstuff.posterous.com, and would love to hear your thoughts, either here or there… thanks!
